Osheaga festival starts in only a few days now. So today I am pairing with essence cosmetic to bring a fun - and inexpensive - look for all you festivalers out there.

I love essence cosmetics, they have great products and are one of the least expensive make up brand out there. And I am all about great deals and saving money. You can find essence cosmetics at Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix.

The make up look is quite simple. I started with my usual base and applied the essence blush and bronzer as I would normally do. For the eye, I went for something neutral on top of which I use that gorgeous blue eyeliner, this is clearly what makes the look and adds the fun factor.

For the lips, I decided to go with SPF lip balm only, since my lips can be really sensitive, especially after a day in the sun.

Don't mind my crazy hair, it was way too hot to style it.

Here is the list of the products I used
Primer : The Body Shop All-In-One Instablur 5-Action Perfector
Foundation : L'Oréal True Match Lumi Foundation in N1-2
Under eye concealer : Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer
Blemishes concealer : Becca Dual Coverage Compact Concealer
Powder : essence All About Matt! Fixing Compact Powder
Brows : Anastasia Brow Wiz in dark Brown
Bronzer : essence Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder in 01 Blonde
Blush : essence Silky Touch Blush in 80 Autumn Peach
Eyeshadows : essence Metal Glam Eyeshadows in 07 & Smokey Eyes Sets
Eyeliner : essence Long-Lasting Eye Pencil in 17
Mascara : essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara
Nail polish : essence Colour & Go in 128 Let's Get Lost

I thought I would also include an outfit option I would wear to Osheaga or any music festival.

What I am wearing
Shirt : Smart Set
Shorts : I don't know the actual brand, but I bought them at Winners
Kimono : Smart Set
Necklace : Bizou

I would like to thank everyone at the Canadian Beauty Blogger network for the amazing opportunities like this one. You are doing an amazing job!

What are your festival essentials and your go to look?

Hair comb is one of those things that fascinated me when I was a child. I didn't really understand how it worked. Plus Mulan had one in the movie! I had a toy replica of that one, I wonder where it is now...

Now that I'm older and that figured out how it works, I have a couple ones I really like and wear often. But I also had a couple that were just bleh looking. I don't even know were those beige combs come from. So I decided to upgrade them.

What you will need:
Comb
Twine
Scissors

It's quite simple. I started by tying the twine around the tooth of the comb. Once it was secure, I warped the twine a few times between each tooth, until it looked opaque enough. I did the same thing until the end of the comb and tied it to secure the twine.

And there it is, a more fun to wear comb that won't just stay on the back of a drawer.

Is hair comb something your wear? Did Mulan hair comb fascinated you as a kid as much as me?

Hope you liked it and if you would like to follow me on Facebook, I created a page a couple of weeks back.

I've seen lots for floral hair accessories lately, and I'm sure you did too. It's been a trend for a couple of years now and, of course, with summer right around the corner, it's more present than ever.

It's the kind of trend I love, but I'm never sure I would really wear it. So I though a DIY was required.

I had a few fake flowers lying around and a bunch of hair clip I would never wear on their own. It ended up being a really simple project.

What you will need:
Fake flowers
Hair clips
Glue
Scissors

I started by cutting the flowers off of the bouquet. Then I applied glue to the hair clip (I used crazy glue, but I think a hot gun glue would work even better) and clued it to the green plastic part for the flower. And then I waited for it to dry.

It's as simple as that. Now it time to play around with those flowery hair clips!

Do you like this floral trend and are you wearing any? I'm always a little self couscous about wearing statements like time, but I think it looks great!

I love myself a good DIY from time to time. Actually, I used to create a lot of jewelry in my days. I don't do it much anymore (lack of space mainly) but that day I just felt like making a bracelet. So why not take you with me and make it a blog post?

What you will need :
Colorful twine
Color matching thread
beads
One big bead
Needle
Scissors

I started by measuring the length of twine I would need, twice. Then I attached the end of the two twine on a large, button like, bead that will be part of the closing system.

Then, with the needle and thread, I started sewing a few centimeters from there. The first stitch is normal, but for the second one, I added a bead between the two twines. Repeat the second stitch for as long as necessary, then do a normal stitch again. Keep the same space at the end of the beads as you left at the beginning.

At the end of your twine, tie them both together so it will make a loop big enough for your first big bead to pass through.

Cut the exes twine and thread and you're done!

That was my first “step by step” DIY post. Making DIY blog post is harder than it looks, really. I feel like I'm bad at explaining things, and the pictures does not show the whole process. But hopefully I'll get better at it!

It's nice to talk about something different from time to time, I hope you liked it!

I thought I would have a lot of favorites this month. I was wrong. It’s been a half busy, half boring month. Busy because I went out of the city twice this month, which never happens to me. I usually leave Quebec City for Christmas when I go back to my parents house. At least this is how it’s been for the last three years.

But in April, my boyfriend and I went to Montreal two weekends in a row to find an apartment. We are moving in July. He will go to university in Montreal and I decided to go along.

Even if it’s been fun, it has been kind of exhausting too, especially since I’ve been kind of sick. And I missed my cats. And I ended up being really tired. I feel like this is the first time in three weeks that I am taking a night off to do something I like. That also explains why there’s been a lack of substance on the blog.

Finally February is over, which means spring is closer and I can’t wait! It also means its time for this month favourites!

First of all, I bought a new Maybeline color tattoo in Inked in Pink and it’s a nice color I wore a lot this month.

I also wore this Color Show nailpolish in Glided Rose. This is a really dense sparkly rose gold color. Most of the time, I need lost of coats for that kind of sparkly color to really show, but as I said, this one is really dense and is really sparkly at the first layer.

Here we go for October favorites!

I’ve been loving my new beanie. I bought it in September, but only started wearing it in late October, since it’s been quite warm until then. It’s comfortable and warm and plum.

I’ve been wearing this cream eye shadow pencil (on the right) half the month. It wasn’t that much about how it looks, but more about the fact that it is easy and quick to apply. It is perfect for busy morning, like I had in the last two weeks.

Here is my first OOTD. I improvised a photo studio really quickly, it's not great, but I'll work on the lights. So I am waring a yellow shirt (H&M) on top of a white dress (a gift), with a braided belt (from an other shirt from Simons) and a long red neckless (ebay). I really liked the first picture, where I was just moving and my head looks really weird.
