So far 2016 have been better than last year. Especially on the monetary side. I've been able to pay off most of my debts and have been able to treat myself to a few purchases. So here are some stuff I bought over the last months:

I had a $20 Sears gift card and for some reason it took me forever to buy something with it. Well, the reason is that it the store is just not on my way. I wanted to try a brand I haven't tried before so I ended up with a Lancôme Ombre Hypnose Stylo. It's a nice muted purple and its very easy to apply. Downside : it definitely creases during the day.

I tried two or three liquid liners over the past months and always ended up with shitty products that did not (at all) looked like I wanted it to look. So I knew it was time I invested in a good one and I heard so much about the Kat Von D Tatoo Liner in Trooper that I knew what to get. I was not disappointed. It lasts forever.

While I was at Sephora I really wanted to splurge a little more so I got this Urban Decay Naked Basic 2 pallet. And while I was at it I knew the Boscia Black Nose Strips would come in handy.

I was running out of my daily cleanser which mean I had to make a Sephora order, right? So I got the F.A.B. Face Cleanser. I still haven't used it as I write this post since I'm actually still not out of my previous cleanser. But I'm prepared.

When ordering I needed free shipping, otherwise it was just not worth it. Aka let me buy all the things and take my money I don't care. So I got the Sephora Skincare Picks Set. For some reasons I always feel less guilty buying extra skincare than makeup. And I have way too much extra skincare. Whatever. I haven't tried all of it yet but I think one of the samples is breaking me out. I still have to narrow it down so I can start trying the other ones again.

The last thing I got from that sephora order was the Formula X Clix Polish Set. I wanted to try this for so, so long. And I was not disappointed. More on that next week.

I also got the Maybelline Fit Me! Hydrate + Smooth Foundation and a L'Oreal Single Eyeshadow at some point.

And don't mind my glasses, there was just a gap to fill in the photos.

What about you, did you get anything interesting lately?

Last week I went to Sears Canada Beauty Holiday event at my nearest Sears store. It is actually the first event I've been invited to as a blogger (I lie, it's the second one, but the first I couldn't go to as it was the middle of the day and I was working).

To go to the event you have to buy a $10 ticket and the good thing is $2 out of it goes to Look Good, Feel Better which is a charitable program dedicated to women suffering from cancer. The other $8 you can have back when you buy something at the event.

I had a good time, had my make up done, had some food and drink and obviously ended up buying some products, event if my bank account was against it.

I justified it by saying to myself that #1 I did need a pore cleansing face mask and that #2 I needed to have the full experience if I wanted to write about it. These are good reasons, right?

So I just got that Pore Refining Solution Charcoal Mask and Plum Pop lipstick by Clinique. It also came with a bag full of free stuff, which I was not against. It included that colourful make up bag and minis of the Long Last Glosswear in pink, Calix perfume, Rinse-off Eye Makeup Solvent, High Impact Mascara, Rinse-off Foaming Cleanser and Turnaround Overnight Revitalizing Moisturizer.

And the last thing I want to tell you about is probably the one that will be the most interesting for you. Sears Canada was nice enough to send me two $20 gift cards - one for me and one for you! Yay! It's actually my first giveaway and I am so exited for it!

So all you have to do to have a chance to win is leaving a comment on this blog post saying what product you would like to buy with the gift card and make sure I have a way to contact you, for obvious reasons. It is only opened to Canadians.

I will pick a winner at random and you have until November 27th to enter.

I can't wait to send it to one of you!
Recent haul : Yes to tomatoes, Rimmel provocalips & scandaleyes.

It was payday.

I haven't shop anything but groceries for over a month.

I felt the need to buy stuff.

Actually, I didn't spend that much. I got these three products at the drugstore and then bought two shirts in another store.

Yes to Tomatoes clear skin oil control cleanser : I heard a lot about the Yes to… ranges. I tried the Yes to Cucumber face wipes before, it was nice, and smelled good. I think I remember someone talk about the tomato range, but I'm not sure who, when or if it really happened. I won't lie, it was an impulse buy. I haven't made any researches on this, but it was quite cheap (8$CAN) so why not?

Rimmel London Provocalips in play with fire : I heard Amelia Lilianna talk about this a couple of months ago and I knew I had to try it. I searched for it, but I couldn't find it anywhere. All drugstore I went to had a very limited amount of Rimmel products. But that day I had to go to a specific area where I don't usually go. And there was a drugstore, so, of course, I had to go in, and there it was, finally.

Rimmel London Scandaleyes in nude : I hear great things about these. And I didn't own any flesh tone eyeliner. Plus it was in sale. A match made in heaven if you ask for my opinion.

The clothing I bough I don't have any picture of, which make me think that I should really find a way to take fashion-ish photos. I got a black kimono with white flowers pattern and a shirt that didn't fit me and that I will soon exchange for something else.

It really felt therapeutic to get a couple of things for myself.

What do you get yourself when you feel the need to shop?

I usually am one to look a bargain, and will rarely try something more expensive that the usual. For that reason, I have very few highend beauty product. I definetely am a drugstore kind of girl, where I am able to find really decent products. So if I can find a great blush for 8$, why would I pay 28$ for another one? Well, I do have an answer to this question, because I do want to try theses products, I am just too cheap I guess.

A few weeks back, I had a really bad day, with a very expensive bill for exceeding my internet limit (I thought it was unlimited, it was not). I was angry and felt like I was paying at empty. Fast forward to the next day, I decided I was better to pay for something physical I will actually use (it doesn't make that much sense now that I think of it...). So I ended up on the Sephora website, with the Tarte Bon Voyage Collector's Set And Travel Bag  and the Tarte Pigment of Imagination Deluxe Cheek Set in my basket. (By the way, they say they send 3 free samples with each purshase, and made me choose the 3, but I only got one I didn't ask for... Is that how it usually works?)

You can see here what is on my face, using my new Tarte purchases.

  • Revlon nearly naked foundation
  • Maybeline the colossal cat eye mascara
  • Bodyshop honey bronzer
  • Becca dual coverage compact concealer
  • L'oréal magic lumi light infusing primer
  • Maybeline color tatoo in tough as taupe
  • Tarte Limited-edition cheek stain in Muse
  • Tarte LipSurgence lip gloss in Visionary
  • Tarte LipSurgence lip tint in Romantic
  • Tarte Amazonian clay eye shadows pallette

I recently realised that I never spend the 50% off on one product I got when I subscribed to the BodyShop card. I had the firm intention of only buying one thing. But you know how it is… I got there and there was a third item for free when you bought 2, so there began the spending…

I ended up with more than I expected.

I went shopping last Friday. I needed to get a gift for my boyfriend birthday that is coming next Sunday.

I didn’t have much time, so I only went where I knew I had something to get… Except for the Bodyshop, but I had a 15$ off a 40$ purchase, so that counts, right?

The first place I went to was the dollar store. To be honest, I really don’t remember what I needed to get there… so I guess there was only one place I needed something…

I got this nice set of makeup bags. I really like the dots (of course) and I don’t really like my old makeup bag anymore (last time I needed to use it, I just improved one with a clutch.

Even if it’s not my favorite mascara, I thought for the price the Maybeline greatlash was a good deal.

And I found these Argan oil cleansing cloths, I don’t know how much argan oil there’s actually is in those, but I really wanted to try thoses. There were also vitamine e, Q 10 and omega 3 ones.

I also found this… lantern? And I thought it looked really nice. Plus it was only 3$ but is worth 10$, so it’s a good deal.

I also went to Target (and, there, I really had something to get, haha!).  This is where I bought my boyfriend gift (which I won’t show because I don’t want him to see it). I also came across this Starbucks Hot Cocoa Peppermint aaaaand, I, just, couln’t, reisit. I can’t wait to try it!

Last week I saw a blog post about food you should keep at work (But I don’t remember where…). And in that post they showed theses Cranberry almond bars and thought they really looked good, so when I saw them in Target I picked a few to try. Ends up they really are really good!

I kept the best for last! I went in the Bodyshop and they had a buy 3 and get 3 free deal. So I went a little bit crazy and tried out a few things. First of all, I wanted to get some new bodybutters. I picked up the olive oil, even if I liked it in the store, I didn’t think I would like it that much! It is so fresh! I also got the almond one which smells just like Disaronno, and I really like Disaronno, so I just couldn’t resist! They also had leftovers of Christmas sets, so I tried this small size mango bodybutter with the matching lip butter which also smells really good!

When I saw this almond nail & cuticle oil, I really was intrigued and I knew I wanted to try it. Now I can’t wait to take my nail polish off to try it!

I heard EssieButton talk about this honey bronzer. I remember her saying it was really good for fair skin. I went in the store knowing I was going out with this in my bag. A few days after, I can say I was not disappointed.

Last but not least, theses two eyeshadows. I don’t think I ever heard anybody talk about the Bodyshop eyeshadows but I really like theses colors, and I needed my third (or 2 on 6…) items. Just like the bronzer, a few days latter, I’m not disappointed.

That pretty much sums up this haul. I also went to an asian grocery store, anyone would like to see something about this in the future? I really like food, and finding different products in that kind of store!

And what about you, have you bought anything nice latety?

What is a girl to do after a hard day of work, when her bus stops right next to a drugstore? Do a little shopping, of course! So here is a small haul of what I bought last week, on a whim.

Fist of all, I have been looking for the limited edition of the latest Maybelin color tatoo for... The last two months I think? And I finlally put my hand on it. I was SO exited!!! After having trying theses two: beige-ing beaty and nud compliment I think they are not as good as the regular ones, but, I still like them, for different reasons. The lightest one, beige-ing beauty is kind of gliterry ( instead of shimmery ) and I didn't really extedted that, I will not wear it the way I though I would, but I think I'll still enjoy it. The darker one, nude compliment, Is somehow like their regular shade though as taupe with shimmer in it. The consistensy I think is a little bit weird, when I apply it! i feel like it's thinner than they other ones I have ( or maybe it just didn't have time to dry? ). But the good thing about this one is that it last quite a long time! I swatched it on my arm, and the next day, even after I showerd, I still saw a mark on my skin. It doesn't last THAT long on the eyes, but maybe only because of the make up remover. Over all, I don't regret buying these.

I saw this mask that I never saw before and I thought I'd give it a go, since I love anything coco. I tryed it and I think I might havr to go back and buy more! After trying it, my skin felt so soft and hydrated, which, honestly, it haven't been in the last month.

Finally, I bought two nail polishes. One from the same Revon colorstay line I talked about in my march favs and is called seashell. I had it on for the last week and the lasting power is there. But I cleaned the printer at work on monday, so I have black stains on my nails, so I couldn't really enjoyed it that much because of that. The second one is from the same Maybeline limited edition line than the color tatoo and is in the color Warm me up. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm always exited for a new nude in my nail pilish collection.

So that is all. They also gave me a nail file with it, which is always nice.

I went to the shopping center with some friends last night and I got a few things. I thought I would show it here, so I can get this blog started.

Those two big frames you see: 3$ each at the dollar store. This is a bargain! Well of course they’re probably not THE BEST quality, but as long it can stay on the wall and contain an artwork, I’m okay with that. It doesn’t really show on the picture, but they’re a king of light bronzy shade, which I thought was really interesting.

I’ve been to the mall last Thursday. I was a bit depressed because I didn’t have a job I was interviewed for. I of course I went to spend money I should have saved, but it made me feels so much better.

So first of all, I saw there was a sale going on at Inglot. I never went to Inglot, so I thought it would be a good time to try it. I got two eye shadows, one in a matt greyish brown. The other one looks, as you can see, like a shimmery dark brown, but it’s mush paler than it looks in the pan. For a moment, when I got home and unpack everything, I thought I didn’t have the good one, but I tried it on and it was the right color.
