I wanted to try a makeup look than involved colored eye shadow, because 95% of the time, I do neutrals. The other 5% is muted purple, not that colorful either.
And what better time to try green than St-Patrick's day? Not that we are doing anything festive for that day, we will probably drink a green beer while watching TV, just because.
I have to day, I'm quite proud of the way it turned out. Not only did I included (some intense) green on my eyelid, but I made it a smokey eye, which I always have a hard time with.

I started by applying the Maybeline Color Tattoo in Mossy Green all over my lid. Then I added the green color from the NYX mysterious brown eyes pallet, which is quite bright. I focused mainly on the center and inner part of my eye for this color. Then I used the left color from the Rimmel Glam'eyes quad in green sapphire, applying it closes to my lash line and a little on the crease. I also used all three to define my lower lash line.
I finished it up by adding a slightly purple tone white on my inner corner and on my brow bone. Blended everything, added mascara.
And that's it! I should really try color more often.
What are your favorite eye shadow colors? Do you wear lots of color? Let me know, I'd love to hear from you!
I'm more of a neutrals girl but every now and again, I go nuts and get down with colour. Your eye look is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty much what I do too. Neutral is the way to go 99% of the time, but trying other things from time to time is nice!
DeleteThis is beautiful look! I never wear greens. I'm much more comfortable with neutrals, and purples. That's about as exciting as my eye shadow colors get! ;) I'd never guess you have trouble with a smoky eye, as this is perfection. Thanks for linking up with us at the Best of the Blogosphere! Hope to see you link up with us again!
ReplyDeleteOh thank you! I guess I got lucky that day with the whole smokey thing. Usually I just look like a racoon when I try it!
