4 Beauty Products Reviewed

I had that blog post ready for over a month now, but kinda forgot about it. In the last couple months I've really been focusing on “real life” stuff. I was so behind on keeping my apartment looking good and had many other random appointments to take care of. And, well, since I can't do it all, some things had to be on hold. It happens, it's okay.

So these were technically products I tried out it March, but I don't think my opinion changed that much since then.

Cougar lipstick
It was more long lasting than I was expecting. It felt creamy at first, then it turned out to be drying. However that's to be expected in a long lasting lipstick. I just apply some mat lip balm, like the Nuxe Reve de Miel and it put moisture back to my lips without compromising the mat look of the lipstick. Later in the day it was looking a bit patchy after eating and I had to reapply. I don't think it is a 24h lipstick, unless you don't eat or drink in these 24h (but that would be a big commitment just to wear lipstick) but still long lasting.

Sensationail Pull Off Polish
I had high expectations for this nail polish. I thought it was a really cool concept. I was really appealing to my lazy self. Also, the thought of not having to use harsh chemicals to remove my nail polish was a big plus. However, it didn't exactly go as planned.

First, when applying, you should be very precise and not get it anywhere around your nail (and that is something I'm I'm not good at). Since it's a pull off nail polish the consistency is kind of elastic so when you try to remove those extra little pieces you over-painted it also start ripping away the good job you made on your nails. That sucks. When I was done with that and spent a few hours with the polish on my nails that is when I noticed the tips looking weird. It's like the polish didn't stick to the tips of my nails, but instead of chipping it as just hanging there. It looks fuzzy and was honestly annoying. I ended up taking it all off before the end of the day. And that went just as bad as the rest. When pulling the nail polish off my nails it also ripped layers of my nail with it. Needless to say it's not good to keep your nails healthy. Afterward, my nails felt very dry too. On the bright side the polish was pretty opaque and I love the shape of the bottle. However, overall it was a big fail. Never using on my nails again, but it might be good to paint some DIY projects...

Revlon stick highlight
Very similar to the Clinique Chubby Stick Highlighter. Like REALLY similar. I think it is a little drier at application and the packaging is not as nice. But, it's a very good and cheap alternative.

Mariposa Cream Concealer Contour Set
4$ pallet? Yeah, I wasn't expecting much. And to be honest, I think some the shades are chalky and not great at all. But. But! The contour shade (that look scary dark when first applied) is probably the most natural contour I tried. Ever. The consistency is nice too, it blends easily, but it can dry quickly so it's better to start blending fast. But, I really, really love this contour!
